Artwork on Plexiglass
"I believe in the power of images to uplift: they enable us to remember the good within us and within our world despite how the world might sometimes appear. This is the aim of all the artwork I create - whether it evokes pleasant memories, brings a smile to your face or whispers a message to your soul. My artwork brings me joy, peace and inspiration. It is my sincere hope that it does this for you too."
Developed and perfected over the last few years, these contemporary pieces are created in layers over many days via various mixed media techniques including engraving, embossing, drawing and painting on plexiglass and board. This gives them a unique, almost 3D quality. There are currently three series: Bach, GeoGraphica and Creation (Plexi)...
Although the much of this artwork is available through my galleries, some are NOW available direct through this site and IN STUDIO, so please don't hesitate to click on 'enquire about a painting' or contact me directly and I'll point you in the right direction (and also let you know if they're still available)!

This series was inspired by my love of little old houses/baches/huts/cabins and sheds around New Zealand's small towns, and the memories they evoke such as holidays, family, friends and fun in the shared connection that makes us human. Currently there are only a few of these left in my studio gallery, the Majuba Gallery or Wooing Tree Winery - so contact me soon if you'd like one.
Short for 'geometric graphic'. Conceived in the abstract, evolving to the non-abstract - Born from playing with randomized geometric shapes these works were intuitively developed AND ended up as recognizable forms. They include landscapes, cityscapes and various other shapes including yachts and wineglasses. The landscapes are inspired by (and a reflection of) my love of our land, our mountains, flora, fauna, rivers and wide open spaces. They are a response to the simple, raw beauty of nature that exists around our beautiful planet. Currently there are only a few of these left either in my studio gallery or at the Majuba Gallery - so please contact me if you'd like one.
These are series within series (confused?!...sorry - I will attempt to explain)... these are variations of designs similar to those used on canvas but instead using mixed media techniques on plexiglass (various forms of etching and painting in acrylic). I've done them in series repeating similar designs so I can fully experiment with technique/colour etc - each is handmade AND still original in its own right. Currently there are only a few of these left either in my studio gallery or at Hoglund Art Glass Gallery - so please contact me if you''re interested in one and I will point you in the right direction.
